About Gabriel Mattei, MD

Gabriel Mattei Gonzalez, MD, is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County, with locations in Atlantis, Boynton Beach, and Wellington, Florida. 

A diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine, Dr. Mattei Gonzalez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe before moving to New Jersey to complete his residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. After completing his residency, he spent an additional year in a multidisciplinary fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Hudson Medical in New York City.

Dr. Mattei Gonzalez specializes in treating spine conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, and sports-related injuries. He is interested in minimally invasive techniques, musculoskeletal medicine, regenerative medicine, and neuromodulation. He offers the latest innovative treatments to reduce pain and improve function.

Dr. Mattei Gonzalez holds affiliations with AAPMR (American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), ASIPP (American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians), and SIS (Spine Intervention Society).
