Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

This procedure is performed to relieve pressure on the median nerve, alleviating the pain of carpal tunnel syndrome and restoring normal sensation to the hand and fingers. The endoscopic techniques performed on an outpatient basis, creates less pain and scarring than traditional open surgery and allows for a quicker recovery. Colles Fractures- Colles fracture is a break of one or both the forearm bones (called the radius and ulna) that occures just above the wrist. Although this type of injury can be caused by any strong force, Colles is most often associated with trying to break a forward fall.

Shoulder Conditions

Rotator Cuff Injuries- The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that cover the head of the humerous and hold it in the shoulder socket. When rotator cuff tendons become damaged, the shoulder can become stiff, sore or lose mobility. Injuries are often caused by direct damage, such as a traumatic fall or repetitive overhead motions. It can also develop because of indirect causes such as impingement or shoulder imbalance.

Shoulder Arthritis- also called osteoarthritis or degenerative arthritis) involves the swelling and damage of the joint. The condition causes pain and stiffness and limits shoulder joint movement. Causes of degeneration include increased age, everyday use of the joint, repetitive overhead movements, injuries such as fractures or chronic rotator cuff tears, or infection.
